SEALSQ Expands its Quantum Highway™: Nine Interconnected Hubs Now Link La Línea, Murcia, Toulouse, Meyreuil, Grenoble, Geneva, Lausanne and the Future Swiss-based Center, and Extend the Sovereign Quantum Corridor to Chicago with EeroQ

Geneva, Switzerland, Sept. 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

The Quantum Highway physically connects every layer of the SEALQUANTUM.com Sovereign Quantum Vertical Stack, from post-quantum device manufacturing in Spain, through secure-element and ASIC design in France, to trust, photonics and orbital infrastructure in Switzerland, and now adds a transatlantic link to the United States under the “Quantum Made in USA” strategy

SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) ("SEALSQ" or the "Company"), a global leader in secure semiconductors, PKI and post-quantum cybersecurity technologies, and its parent company WISeKey International Holding Ltd (SIX: WIHN; NASDAQ: WKEY) ("WISeKey"), today provided an update on the SEALSQ Quantum Highway™, the physical and digital backbone of the Quantum Corridor first announced in July 2025. The Quantum Highway now interconnects nine operational or planned hubs across Spain, France, Switzerland and the United States, each hosting a distinct layer of the SEALQUANTUM.com Sovereign Quantum Vertical Stack.

The update follows the announcement that SEALQUANTUM.com, SEALSQ’s $200 million internal quantum initiative, enters its second phase of capital deployment this month, with more than $65 million already deployed and an additional $100 million earmarked for closing through the end of 2027. The SEALSQ Quantum Highway is the geographic expression of that strategy: capital is deployed into hubs that are physically and contractually connected, so that silicon designed in one location is manufactured, personalized, secured, launched and operated along a single auditable chain of trust.

The SEALSQ Quantum Highway: Nine Hubs, One Root-to-Qubit-to-Space Chain of Trust

Running from the Strait of Gibraltar to the Swiss mountains, and now across the Atlantic to Chicago, the SEALSQ Quantum Highway connects the following hubs:

Hub Entity Role in the Sovereign Quantum Vertical Stack
La Línea de la Concepción, Spain LLG4IR.com Cross-Border Center of Excellence (WISeKey / SEALSQ) Gateway of the SEALSQ Quantum Highway. Post-quantum communication device manufacturing plant and initial manufacturing operations for another WISeKey subsidiary, WISeSat; cross-border deep-tech hub between Spain and Gibraltar, linked to Málaga TechPark.
Murcia, Spain Quantix Edge Security (JV) Spain’s first post-quantum semiconductor personalization and test center; €40 million budget including €19.6 million from the Spanish Government; €25 million revenue target. Injects trusted identities into every chip on the SEALSQ Quantum Highway.
Toulouse, France IC’ALPS design center (100% SEALSQ) ASIC and mixed-signal design for aerospace, space and secure applications; payload and control-electronics design for WISeSat and the Quantum Spatial Orbital Cloud (QSOC).
Meyreuil, Provence, France SEALSQ France Secure-element and post-quantum semiconductor engineering; home of the QS7001 Quantum Shield and QVaultTPM product lines and their FIPS 140-3 / Common Criteria EAL5+ certification roadmap.
Grenoble, France Quobly and IC’ALPS headquarters Silicon spin-qubit quantum processors (Quobly, €115 million Series A led by Bpifrance, STMicroelectronics and SEALSQ) co-located with IC’ALPS Cryo-CMOS and ASIC design under the $5 million SEALSQ-Quobly commercial agreement.
Geneva, Switzerland SEALSQ, WISeKey and WISeSat.Space headquarters, Pont-Rouge Root of Trust, PKI, quantum strategy and the Geneva Quantum Center of Excellence; WISeSat constellation operations and the QSOC program, whose first launch with SpaceX is scheduled for Q4 2026.
Lausanne, Switzerland Miraex (100% SEALSQ), EPFL Innovation Park Thin-film lithium tantalate photonic integrated circuits for microwave-to-optical transduction, QKD, distributed quantum computing and satellite-to-Earth quantum links.
Canton to be Announced, Switzerland Future Quantum and Space Center (location under consideration) Next Swiss hub on the SEALSQ Quantum Highway, intended to host quantum and space integration, testing and training capacity as SEALQUANTUM.com phase two deploys.
Chicago, Illinois, USA EeroQ (SEALSQ strategic investee, $7.0 million; lead investor in upcoming round) Transatlantic extension. Electrons-on-helium quantum computing and the anchor of SEALSQ’s “Quantum Made in USA” strategy; planned integration of SEALSQ post-quantum cryptography into EeroQ products.

How the Highway Works: Silicon Travels the Stack

The value of the SEALSQ Quantum Highway lies in the flows between its hubs rather than in any single site:

  • A secure element or ASIC is designed in Meyreuil, Toulouse or Grenoble, on manufacturing platforms developed with GlobalFoundries under the SEALSQ–GF memorandum of understanding covering secure semiconductors, post-quantum cryptography and CryoCMOS.
  • It is personalized in Murcia, where Quantix injects a unique, quantum-resistant identity anchored on the WISeKey Root of Trust operated from Geneva.
  • It is integrated into post-quantum communication devices and WISeSat payloads manufactured in La Línea, or into Quobly quantum processors in Grenoble and, going forward, EeroQ systems in Chicago.
  • It is interconnected through Miraex photonic chips from Lausanne, enabling quantum-secure links between processors, data centers and satellites.
  • It is launched and operated through WISeSat and the QSOC program from Geneva, extending the same chain of trust into orbit, with a new center planned as the next integration and test facility on Swiss soil.

Each step generates commercial demand for the previous one. The $5 million SEALSQ–Quobly agreement signed on July 10, 2026, covering Cryo-CMOS ASICs, post-quantum secure elements, hardware Root-of-Trust, PKI and engineering services, is the first contract executed end-to-end along the Highway, from Grenoble design to Geneva trust services.

Sovereignty by Geography

The Highway deliberately spans four sovereign jurisdictions, each of which has co-invested in or validated a hub: the Spanish Government at Quantix in Murcia and the public-private LLG4IR.com framework in La Línea; the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, which approved the IC’ALPS acquisition, together with Bpifrance’s co-lead of Quobly’s Series A; the Space Command of the Swiss Armed Forces, whose multi-year pilot with WISeSat and SEALSQ completed in April 2026; and the United States, where the June 2026 White House Executive Order on quantum security frames SEALSQ’s Quantum Made in USA strategy with EeroQ.

Carlos Moreira, Founder, Chairman and CEO of SEALSQ and WISeKey, commented: "The SEALSQ Quantum Highway is the map of our strategy. When we launched the Quantum Corridor in La Línea in 2025, we said sovereign quantum technology would need physical infrastructure, not just intellectual property. Today a chip can be designed in Provence or Grenoble, personalized in Murcia, built into a satellite device in La Línea, interconnected with photonics from Lausanne, authenticated by our Root of Trust in Geneva and launched into orbit, and the same trusted foundation now reaches a quantum computer in Chicago. As SEALQUANTUM.com deploys its next $100 million, every new asset will be chosen for how it strengthens a hub on the SEALSQ Quantum Highway or adds a new one, starting with Switzerland to host the center."

Next Milestones on the SEALSQ Quantum Highway

  • Q4 2026: first QSOC launch with SpaceX from the Geneva-operated WISeSat program; Quobly’s Alloy Pioneer first-generation quantum computer available via the cloud.
  • 2026–2027: ramp-up of the Quantix personalization center in Murcia and of post-quantum device manufacturing in La Línea; completion of EeroQ’s financing round with SEALSQ as lead investor and start of PQC integration into EeroQ products.
  • Through end-2027: deployment of the additional $100 million of SEALQUANTUM.com phase-two capital into assets accretive to the SEALSQ Quantum Highway, including the planned Quantum and Space Center which location is under discussion with several Cantons.
